うーん、駄目でした。一応試した内容晒しておきます。

環境：MacOSバージョン10.6.6（MacMini Early 2009）
/usr/bin/python --version
→2.6.1
sudo port install py26-pil
→Error: Target org.macports.activate returned: Image error: /opt/local/bin/icc2ps already exists and does not belong to a registered port.  Unable to activate port lcms.

なにやらぶつかってるみたいですね。朔の問題ではなくmacports側の問題っぽく感じるので、後日また調べてみます。
macports詳しくないので、何かしら激しく勘違いしてる悪寒……。
まあ実用上問題ないようですが。
