- I've never seen any of these expressions being used except for "get off the grid."
To get off the grid means to live without being connected to the electrical grid. It doesn't necessarily implies hiding yourself, though that might be the reason to do it.
Hello from Brasil (not a native speaker, but use the language daily).

I saw this Go port of shinGETsu and clicked around until I got here: https://www.reddit.com/r/golang/comments/3u6h6n/gou_a_clone_of_p2p_anonymous_bbs_shingetsu_in/
I'm writing a Futaba clone myself, so it got my attention. I'm also studying Japanese and thought I would try to make sense of some threads.

It's in Python, but I might rewrite it in Go later. I don't really know Go yet, but it's the language I'm interested in learning next. Currently studying Ruby through Coursera: https://www.coursera.org/specializations/ruby-on-rails

Coursera is great. There's also edx.org, udacity.com and many others. I think it's awesome how these resources are available worldwide as long as you can understand English. It means I'm not limited to only what my own country has to offer.
